is an artist and conceptual photographer based in Bielefeld, Germany. His work examines how natural processes and ecological transformations leave traces—both within landscapes and within visual perception. Starting from photography as his core medium, he expands it by integrating natural materials, site-specific interventions, and physical elements. These gestures shift the photographic image toward a more material and spatial presence, challenging the boundary between image, object, and environment. In his practice, Johannes Hüffmeier explores what photography can reveal today: how it relates to the autonomy of nature, and how minimal human interventions create encounters that are both fragile and perceptive.
